Melbourne Recital Centre: Guided Tour

Melbourne Recital Centre

Come with us on a tour

Once an old industrial area, Southbank has become a thriving cultural hub, home to many of Australia's most iconic arts venues and organisations including Melbourne Recital Centre where Live Music Lives.

Opened in 2009 it is a living space for making, sharing and enjoying great music and is loved by musicians and audiences alike.

Designed by architecture firm Ashton Raggatt McDougall (ARM) with acoustical engineering by ARUP Acoustics, the Centre's musically rich spaces are of the calibre of landmark halls such as Vienna's Musikvereinssaal and London's Wigmore Hall, while existing in the digital era - a brilliant marriage of the classical and the progressive.
