Le Brocque Golf Academy
[intro]Founded in Melbourne by Brett Le Brocque, Le Brocque Golf Academy grew from an elite golf coaching practice into an international system for player and coach development.
At its centre was Le Brocque's Mind Body Swing philosophy and a distinction that would shape his work for decades: seeing what happened is not the same as understanding why it happened.
The Academy integrated technical coaching, biomechanics, psychology, skill acquisition and performance analysis into a systematic approach to diagnosing cause and improving performance. That philosophy led Le Brocque to co-found the Internet Golf Academy with Butch Harmon and David Leadbetter, and became the instructional and diagnostic foundation behind V1 Golf, founded by Le Brocque in 2002.
The same thinking led Le Brocque to conceive and develop, in partnership with Victoria University, the Bachelor of Applied Science (Sport Science - Golf), the world's first university degree dedicated to golf coaching.
Le Brocque Golf Academy ultimately expanded across Melbourne, Brisbane, Kuala Lumpur and Seoul, supported by dedicated, staffed corporate offices in Asia, including operations at SKY72 in South Korea and golf programs in Malaysia co-sanctioned by the Malaysian Ministry of Education, Malaysian Golf Association and Malaysian PGA.
What began as a way of developing golfers became something larger: a systematic approach to developing players and coaches, diagnosing cause and making improvement repeatable, built around one enduring question: what actually caused the result?
