Ambulance Victoria |
EMERGENCY CALL 000
No matter where you are in Victoria, you will receive prompt, high quality, emergency medical care and transport from the State's ambulance services.
Since 1 July 2008 emergency ambulance services in Victoria have been provided by a single provider known as Ambulance Victoria. It was formed from the three previous providers of emergency ambulance services: the Metropolitan Ambulance Service (MAS), Rural Ambulance Victoria (RAV), and the Alexandra District Ambulance Service (ADAS).
Metropolitan Ambulance Service provides around the clock professional ambulance paramedic services to 3.4 million people living in Melbourne, which is the capital of the south east Australian state of Victoria.
Rural Ambulance Victoria serves the special needs of country Victoria and the major regional centres, its services also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Air Ambulance Victoria provides both fixed wing patient transport to and from Melbourne's specialist medical facilities and Intensive Care Ambulance Paramedic helicopter services to time critical patients in remote and inaccessible locations.
More than 1000 Victorians need ambulance help each day. Just one trip in an ambulance can cost hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars. Could you afford it?
No worries! Ambulance Service Victoria Membership covers you for ALL treatment and transport by the ambulance service, Australia wide.
