Arthurs Seat State Park |
Rising above the Mornington Peninsula, Arthurs Seat is the most familiar of all Port Phillip Bay landscape features. It's 314 m summit, reached by road or on foot, gives spectacular views of the bay and Port Phillip Heads.
On a clear day the view extends as far as the city skyline, the You Yangs and Mount Macedon.
Things to Do
Take the pleasant one hour circuit walk to Kings Falls.
Enjoy a view of the bay and city skyline from the summit.

Arthurs Seat Scenic Chairlift
The Arthurs Seat Scenic Chairlift is no longer operating after a number of health and safety issues, but the park at the top remains open.

The completely updated, iconic Arthurs Seat Scenic Chairlift will soon be removed from its long standing site at Arthurs Seat State Park, Dromana.
Negotiations are continuing with an interstate Government to relocate this famous chairlift to a new site where it will complement existing attractions and provide diversity to that state's catalogue of tourism attractions.
The management of Arthurs Seat Scenic Chairlift Pty Ltd wishes to thank its many thousands of patrons for their support over many years and wish success to the proponents of any new facility at Arthurs Seat State Park.
Access is via Mornington Peninsula Freeway to Arthurs Seat Road, Dromana. Seawinds is from Purves Road. (Melway ref: 171 D1)
There is 24 hour access to the park. Seawinds Garden is open to vehicles at 10:00 am and closes 4.30 pm weekdays and 5:00 pm weekends.
