ACAF Project Space
After eighteen months and sixteen exhibitions the Ausin Tung Gallery in Prahran has ceased the operation as a commercial gallery and turned all resources to the not-for-profit Australia China Art Foundation (ACAF) artist based programs. Established by philanthropist Yashian Schauble, Ausin Tung Gallery and ACAF are a bridge between contemporary art scenes in China and Australia.
Art works will still be available for collectors from ACAF Store, an online fundraising store enabling access to artworks by contemporary Chinese and Australian artists. One hundred per cent of profits from the sale of these artworks will go to supporting ACAF's programs and projects.
The site of Ausin Tung Gallery will be used as ACAF project space, providing opportunities for young and emerging artists the studio space upstairs and to show their work on the ground level exhibition space.
