A wonderful place to visit for families or for first-time visitors to Australia, with tickets to Ballarat Wildlife Park you'll get a true Aussie adventure that incorporates a range of live shows where you'll gain further insight into various species. The various shows will let you learn about different kinds of snakes, pat a koala, get up close with friendly wombats, see birds of prey in flight and much more.

The Ballarat Wildlife Park is the brainchild and dream of Mr Greg Parker who moved to Ballarat to open his own Wildlife Park based upon his love of Australian native animals and reptiles and his extensive experience in the zoo industry. The Park opened its doors on February 14th 1985.

Reptile House (open 10-5) - The reptile house is home to over forty different species of reptiles. This includes; frogs. lizards, snakes, turtles, alligators and crocodiles.

Koala Enclosure - Watch our koalas in their natural habitat from the glass enclosed viewing platform.

Koala Nursery - You can see our koala Joeys with their mothers in the koala nursery.

Animal Experience - At the Ballarat Wildlife Park we help you remember your exciting experience by offering a photo to take home with you and one of our special animals. Please see the office on arrival.

Cafe - Our undercover cafe, provides a selection of hot and cold appetizers and is a fully licensed venue. It can cater for bookings; contact the Wildlife Park for more information.

Souvenirs - Remember your visit to the Ballarat Wildlife Park by purchasing a souvenir from our extensive range of items, including t-shirts, postcards, hats, books and toys.

Functions in the Bushman's Hut - Experience early colonial life in a recreated 1840's bushman's hut. We cater for various different functions in our Bushman's Hut that is fully enclosed and seats up to sixty people. For weddings, parties, work functions, or meetings keep this function centre in mind, and contact the Wildlife Park for further details.

Kids birthday parties - The Park has recently relaunched its new kids party program. This caters for children aged up to 12yrs. Please contact the Park for a party brochure.

Picnic area - Visitors to the Park can relax in the tranquil setting to enjoy their picnic and watch the kangaroos and emus roaming freely throughout the Park.
