Beer Lovers Guide to Melbourne
Hit up some neighbourhood favourites as we travel out to where the locals drink.
This tour journeys beyond the Central Business District and into the neighbourhoods where cheaper rents and experimental minds have seen a craft beer explosion.
Unique bottle shops, bespoke breweries and and pubs dedicated to the craft of brewing could all be on our list for a fun night out.
We'll start in the CBD at Southern Cross station at the hub to make our getaway into the nieghbourhoods. Travelling by either train or tram like the locals do, we'll find our way out to where the real scene is really taking off.
Different nights have different surprises so where we go depends on the local knowledge of what is happening that night but rest assured, bespoke breweries and craft focused old school pubs and clubs and even some very different bottle shops are potentially in our path for a beer night out to remember (unless you have too many!)
You'll hear directly from the brewers themselves what are their inspirations for their creations as well as others passionate about the scene that has turned what was not that long ago a mono culture of lager, into an explosion of porters, pils and IPA's.
We'll finish the formalities nearby public transport to get back to the city. From here you can carry on your evening with some recommendations from our local guide, or if you're in too much of a beer/food coma, your guide will also be able to point you in the direction of your accommodation.
