1. Go to the Melbourne Visitor Hub (Melbourne Town Hall) on Swanston Street and enquire about current events and free public transport.
2. Walk along the Yarra River from Federation Square, past Rod Laver Tennis Centre to either M.C.G (see below) or Melbourne's newest stadium, AAMI Stadium. Enjoy the views of the city and the atmosphere in Birrarung Marr.
3. Visit the two major art galleries in Federation Square (The Ian Potter Centre) and St Kilda Road (NGV International | National Gallery of Victoria).
4. Take a river cruise either up river or towards the Port Phillip Bay at Williamstown.
