Blue Lotus Water Garden |
The Blue Lotus Water Garden is one of Australia's largest private gardens.
The nursery and gardens officially opened in 2006, has now grown to cover over 50,000 square metres (14 acres) featuring thousands of exotic and native flowering plants featuring waterlilies, lotus & other rare plants.
It also features dozens of ponds and two lakes all connected by walking tracks and 15 ornate bridges. Other attractions include four greenhouses that grow rare plants such as the world's largest lily species, the spectacular Giant Amazon Lily - Victoria cruziana.
Spectacular Water Gardens
The gardens have been extensively landscaped with a 'tropical theme' featuring dozens of built waterways including lakes, ponds, lagoons, bogs and even a waterfall.
All of the waterways contain hundreds of varieties of flowering lotus, waterlily & bog plants.
The surrounding gardens feature vast perennial flower beds, creating a kaleidoscope of colour in every direction. While hundreds of trees, palms and shrubs offer shade and add to the vistas.
And we haven't forgotten about the little ones, they will love visiting the Flower Fairy Garden. Plus the Fairy Queen make appearances on weekends and public holidays with story time in the garden.
The kids will also love the Dragon's Trail to Fantasy Falls, Rainbow Slide, Fairy Dell Wishing Well and Garden Spotto.
The grounds contain many Garden Features plus over 3kms of easy-to-walk pathways, numerous ornamental arch bridges, dozens of picnic shelters, BBQ facilities, accessible amenities & parking, group & club pavilions, drinking water bubblers, baby change facilities.
Also located within the gardens is the Lily Pond Caf© & Takeaway and the Ice Cream Kiosk.
