Brunswick Community History Group |
The Brunswick Community History Group was created more than twenty one years ago when a group of history enthusiasts met at Brunswick's Mechanics' Institute. Over the decades, people have changed and times and new venues have been sought but a love and passion for local history has remained the defining characteristic of the group.
Through the years, BCHG has been instrumental in the preservation of Brunswick's history. Through its publications of the booklets, books and pamphlets the group has recorded the stories of its residents and the built environment.
As the name suggests, BCHG is a community of History lovers from Brunswick and beyond. It is a community comprising of people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.Whether they be fourth generation Brunswick residents or have never lived in the suburb, Greek Lebanese or Anglo-Saxon, male and female, everyone is welcomed.
