CPP Community Theatre Inc. |
CPP Community Theatre Inc. (formerly Croydon Parish Players) is a not-for-profit theatre group encouraging an appreciation and understanding of dramatic art.
We normally present 2 shows a year: A play, which is performed in May, and a musical in October. And we also have an a Capella choir. We provide opportunities for our members to improve, develop and/or vary their dramatic skill.
Our funds are generated from members' subscriptions and our performances. We donate our excess funds to charitable organizations. These funds are distributed at the discretion of our committee and over the past 10 years we have raised in excess of $50,000. These moneys have largely been donated to local charities. We operate in a Christian manner, nurturing friendship, support and care for members and their families.
We may come together as individuals, but as one group we work toward a common goal. That goal is to put together a performance that is enjoyed by our audience, gives pride to all of our members and participants, and encourages camaraderie between individuals who come from many a diverse background. This is achieved by many members, past and present devoting endless time and effort for this common goal.
