Dylan Martin Alcott, OAM is an Australian wheelchair basketball player, wheelchair tennis player, radio host and motivational speaker.
Dylan Alcott was born on born 4 December 1990 in Melbourne. He was born with a tumour that was cut out but sadly left him a paraplegic. He has competed for Victoria in swimming, and Australia for wheelchair tennis and wheelchair basketball.
At the age of 17 he became the youngest Australia men's national wheelchair basketball team gold medal winner. He has won gold medals in wheelchair tennis Men's Quad Singles and Doubles.
In 2016 he was named Australian Paralympian of the Year due to his outstanding achievements at Rio.

DYLAN Alcott has been crowned the 2022 Victorian Australian of the Year.
The gold medal-winning Paralympian, who became the first male in history to win a tennis Golden Slam (all four majors and Olympic gold in a single year), was recognised for his profound impact off the court through his work with the Dylan Alcott Foundation and music festival Ability Fest.
His foundation provides scholarships and grants to marginalised Australians with disabilities, and Ability Fest is Australia's first fully accessible music festival.
The 2022 Victoria Young Australian of the Year was awarded to Youth Activating Youth co-founder and executive director Ahmed Hassan, who was recognised for his dedication, hard work and fearlessness. The 25- year-old founded the nonprofit organisation at age 18 as a way to support and advocate for marginalised and disadvantaged young people who "consistently fall through the cracks".
Mallacoota State Emergency Service volunteer Leo op den Brouw was named Victoria Local Hero for his "inspirational leadership" during the 2019 bushfires. The 67-year-old, who has been volunteering for 35 years, saved lives and navigated the Mallacoota community through "one of its greatest challenges".
Among other recipients, Victoria University Deputy Chancellor Gaye Hamilton was named the 2022 Victorian Senior Australian of the Year for her "unwavering" enthusiasm and dedication to Melbourne's west. She was lauded for the way she navigated the "breadth and complexity" of pandemicrelated issues throughout 2020 and beyond.
National Australia Day Council chief Karlie Brand congratulated the Victorian recipients, noting "their achievements and contributions are examples to us all".
