Eurambeen Homestead |
Eurambeen Historic Homestead and Gardens is an Historic Landmark of Victoria's rural heritage, built in the 1850s.
Eurambeen Homestead offers accommodation is available for events, functions, weddings, reception, photo and film location shoots
Eurambeen has a three acre garden designed by Edna Walling which was commissioned when the home was extended in 1927.
Eurambeen homestead is located nine kilometres west of Beaufort, is one of the region's most historic buildings.
Its origins date back to 1862, when Irish potato farmers George and Francis Beggs built it with locally quarried stone and Oregon timber.
Eurambeen was originally named Mt Cole Station and was occupied by brothers Alexander and Colin Campbell from 1840.
In 2012, Sarah Beaumont and Ian Glover moved from Inner City Melbourne to live at iconic Eurambeen Homestead 9km west of Beaufort.
Sarah and Ian immediately set about the major task of renovating the beautiful historic homestead and its run-down Edna Walling designed garden. They have now created a very successful accommodation and garden events business.
In November of 2016, Sarah and Ian opened the gates of Eurambeen for their first ever Open Garden. In excess of 1200 people attended the open garden and the event was a huge success. Sarah and Ian have now converted the old Eurambeen shearing shed into a Wedding Reception Venue and are taking bookings for Weddings in 2018.
Garden groups can visit Eurambeen by appointment.
