A raging ocean, flanked by an unforgiving coastline... A Melbourne-bound clipper with a priceless statue on board.... The 18 year old daughter of an Irish doctor... A poor but keen young crewman, discovering an exciting life on the high seas.
Unlike anything you've ever seen before, Shipwrecked is a state of the art sound and laser show. This complete theatrical experience magically brings to life the tale of the Loch Ard, wrecked in 1878. Staged nightly, Shipwrecked is a spellbinding chronicle of how Victoria's western coastline earned its cruel distinction as the Shipwreck Coast.
As a new option for those looking for a little more exploration, you can join the nightly Loch Ard Lantern Walk through the village as part of the Shipwrecked Sound and Laser Show.... your guide will show you the way! Be guided through the village and feel the chill of the night air, take a lantern and a sou'wester hat....
The Loch Ard Lantern Walk is recommended for families and those looking to experience our village by lantern light. This requires visitors to be fit and active as it involves a 300 meter walk on a reasonable steep cobblestone path. Flat footwear and clothing for wet weather is recommended.
The Transport is recommended for those wishing to sit back and enjoy the scenery and be transported to and from the main theatre. This option is open to all visitors.
Note: There is a fully transported option - prices, times and days of operation are the same for the Loch Ard Lantern Walk or the fully transported option. The difference between the 'Walk' and 'Transport' is the way in which people travel through the village to our main outdoor theatre.
