The Harp is a family owned hotel in East Kew - offering a Bistro serving lunch and dinner every day of the week; a drive through bottleshop open til late 7 days; entertainment every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday night - there is something for everyone at the Harp!
The Harp of Erin on the corner of Harp Road and High Street was established in 1854 by Edward Glynn. It gave its name to Harp Road, which was part of a route to Lilydale, used by Cobb and Co. Built / licensed: 1854.
The Harp of Erin was demolished and rebuilt after the old hotel had its liquor licence revoked in 1955 for being in a "ruinous and dilapidated"state. The new hotel, designed by Robert McIntyre, was built in 1956, keeping the same name.
