Located in the basement of the Punch Lane building, Martin Pirc's small bar Juliet champions female winemakers, distillers and cheese producers from Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

Sibling to Punch Lane, Juliet was born from past times when Liverpool Street was called Juliet Terrace, an extension of Juliet Melbourne.

Alongside wine and cocktails, you can order a range of cheese and charcuterie boards, as well as Asian-inspired small plates such as curried cauliflower tempura with black garlic and almond sauce, and dry-aged Korean-spiced beef skewers.

Over the past few decades, Melbourne has evolved to become the hub of style, culture, food and wine in Australia.

As Melbourne's identity has developed, so too has the need for spaces that are flexible, exciting and full of endless possibilities. Juliet Melbourne is the perfect city venue. Open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, it is a place to meet, share ideas and dream about future successes.

Juliet Melbourne is named in memory of a bygone era. When Liverpool and Crossley Streets, the adjoining laneways, were Juliet Terrace and Romeo Lane. The names were changed in the late 1800s, in an attempt to gentrify an area. Which was frequented by the 'women and men of the night' at the time.

JULIET MELBOURNE'S STRONG FEMALE NAME IS A CELEBRATION OF THE AMAZING WOMEN WHO WORK IN THE INDUSTRY. THE WINE, BEER AND SPIRIT LISTS, AND SOME OF THE FOOD PRODUCE, IS A NOD TO AUSTRALIA'S FEMALE PRODUCERS AND ARTISANS.
