Nine years ago Hubby Tony decided to come up with an idea of utelising the not so marketable berries by producing jams which wife Frances makes varieties are Raspberry,Strawberry, Blackberry, Boysenberry, Logonberry, 3 Berry , & Blueberry Her Jams have won several awards including the Sydney Fine Food show, the Hobart Fine Food, and the Royal Melbourne Show.
Kookaberry Strawberry Farm is a family run business, having grown gorgeous berries for 35 years, to tickle anyone's fancy.
Frances supplies local tea rooms with bulk jams including Warratina Lavender Farm, Paperbark Cafe at Kuranga Native Nursery, Olinda Golf House and Katandra Gardens.
The jams are sold at Yering Station Farmers Market, Railway Station Farmers Market, Gateway Estate in Coldstream, Cheesefrecks in Healesville. Olinda Golf House in Olinda, Seville Fresh Fruit, Kuranda Native Nursery, local fruit shops and wineries.
The Kookaberry Farm is part of the Yarra Valley regional food group trail, which focuses on local food and wine.
Open 7 days a week in season [oct-june] from 9am to 5pm.
