Lambys Restaurant + Bar is located on the corner of Moorabool and Brougham Streets in central Geelong, just a hop, skip and jump from the vibrant waterfront and theatre precinct.

The restaurant and bar are located within the historic wool store building which was built in 1872 and named after CJ Denny Lascelles. This beautiful bluestone building also houses the National Wool Museum.

Geelong is a city synonymous with wool and the wool industry - sheep farming began here in 1835 and the first of many wool mills opened here in 1868. For many years the city was known as the 'wool centre of the world'.

At the National Wool Museum, you will discover why fleece from Australia's sheep has been the heart of our economy for 200 years. Since the arrival of sheep with the First Fleet in 1788, the wool industry has dominated our economy, our agriculture and our reputation as a quality wool-growing nation throughout the world. Two hundred years later, in 1988, the National Wool Museum was established as Australia's only comprehensive museum of wool.

Lambys Restaurant + Bar is perfect for your special occasion whether it be a wedding, birthday, anniversary, conference, corporate entertaining, after work drinks or social and sporting club gatherings. Lambys can cater for events from 10 to 150. We provide an extensive range of specialty dishes and invite you to create a menu incorporating your personal tastes. Expert advice is available from our head chef and restaurant manager.

There are three separate function rooms available for events at Lambys Restaurant + Bar: The Restaurant, The Terrace and The Lounge.

- The restaurant

Stunning ambience and stylish rustic decor offers a gorgeous backdrop for your next event. Whether it is your wedding day, engagement party, a birthday dinner, business event or other special occasions, Lambys Restaurant is a wonderful choice. The restaurant can cater for up to 100 guests seated or 150 in a cocktail style.

The open kitchen allows you and your guests to enjoy the artistry and allure of seeing our chefs preparing all of your dishes. Great service and great food ensures that the relaxed and fun vibe Lambys is famous for is very much part of the allure of the Lambys restaurant.

- The terrace

The Terrace is located below ground level but sits at the base of a beautiful and bright atrium within the historic Wool Stores Museum. Perfect for intimate dinners, cocktail parties, board meetings, product launches and all other special occasions. The Terrace can cater for up to 40 guests seated or 80 guests in cocktail style. The Terrace is available until 11.00pm. Guests are invited to stay and continue their celebrations in the Lambys Bar. The Lambys Bar has live music and DJs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening.

- The lounge

With its own private bar, The Lounge is available for early morning breakfast meetings, daytime functions, luncheons, product launches, parties, celebrations, christenings, birthdays and special occasions. The Lounge can cater for up to 80 guests standing. The lounge is available until 11.00pm. Guests are invited to stay and continue their celebrations in the Lambys Bar. The Lambys Bar has live music and DJs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening.
