As of 19th September 2010, the day of the beatification of Bl. John Henry Newman by His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI, 'Latin Mass Melbourne' was placed under the patronage of the new Beatus by His Grace, Archbishop Denis J Hart, and re-named 'The Catholic Community of Bl. John Henry Newman'. Deo gratias!
The Melbourne-based community of Christ's Faithful who are attached to the classical Latin liturgical tradition (the "Extraordinary Form"or "ancient use"of the Roman Rite) are in the pastoral care of Frs Glen Tattersall, John McDaniels and Colin Marshall. Frs Tattersall and McDaniels are priests of the Archdiocese of Melbourne, and they conduct their pastoral ministry with the approval and blessing of His Grace, Archbishop Denis J Hart. Our base is St Aloysius' Church, 615607 Balaclava Road, Caulfield North.
