The Lynbrook Community Centre is now open. The Centre is an integrated multipurpose community facility that aims to:
offer a focal point for community interaction
be a place where people can build relationships and a community identity
be a place where residents can meet and carry out activities
be a place that strengthens the life of the community
be a place where residents can access a range of activities, programs and services.
Importantly, the community centre will co-locate community service organisations to offer much needed services to the Lynbrook community. The facility has been established to service a community experiencing significant growth and will support the development of connections and enable positive social interaction within the local community.
The community centre will provide suitable space for community service organisations and community groups that are often challenged to find appropriate and affordable space in Casey, especially in the Lynbrook area.
Location
Located on the corner of Lynbrook Boulevard and Harris Street, Lynbrook (Melway Ref 129 D1), the Lynbrook Community Centre is situated within the neighbourhood activity centre adjacent to the local shopping centre.
This location will provide the community centre with a high profile within the local area while enabling important links with the nearby Family and Children's Centre and primary school.
