Kylie's favourite spots in Melbourne
From Canterbury to the world, that's our Kylie. Being a Londoner, the poppet has Europe at her feet and is loved by the Parisians, especially Le Figaro newspaper, which asked her to list her favourite spots in Melbourne.
Which ones would be so lucky to get the Minogue endorsement? St Kilda beach, Donovans restaurant, Hosier Lane, Neil Perry's Rockpool, Chapel Street's Caffe e Cucina for the calamari and rocket, and Rod Laver Arena, where she has performed on stage 19 times. Ensconced in the royal box at Wimbledon for the men's final, Minogue and partner Andres Velencoso sat near Rod Laver, a '' legend"in the singer's eyes.
Another Minogue recommendation is the Arts Centre, a venue '' dear"to her, as she explains '' I was proud to have my first exhibition of stage costumes there.'' She makes an Australiana tribute to lamingtons, through the Luscious Affairs cafe, and the jam-filled coconutcovered treat has never sounded so posh in French as '' Le gateau traditionnel Australien'' .

Kylie's Tips
While we have no issue with Kylie having an opinion, the question in this office.. Was it Kylie's opinion or perhaps her sisters?
Danny now lives in Melbourne and as far as we know, Kylie hasn't lived here for years so how would she know about Donovans, Rockpool and Caffe e Cucina? Sure, she would know about Rod Laver having performed there 19 times, and the Arts Centre for the exhibition albeit in The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia. Interesting isn't it?
