Melbourne Connect is led by the University of Melbourne, in partnership with a consortium led by Lendlease.
Powered by the University of Melbourne in partnership with a consortium led by Lendlease, Melbourne Connect which will bring together world-class researchers, government, industry, SME's, startups, higher-degree students, artists and Science Gallery Melbourne, in a purpose-built innovation precinct right in the heart of Carlton and next to the Parkville campus and Biomedical precinct.
Drawing on the University's expertise across emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, computer-science, cybersecurity and privacy, it will become a digital and datapowerhouse with the people, place and programs at Melbourne Connect designed to help unlock digitally driven, data-enabled and socially responsible solutions to our most pressing challenges.
Melbourne Connect is located on the former Royal Women's Hospital site, on the corner of Swanston and Grattan Streets and boasts smart and sustainable design with a 6-star Green Star rating, a 4.5-star NABRS water rating, a 5-star NABRS energy rating and employs on-site rainwater harvesting as well as solar and geothermal energy.
It is where great minds connect, and incredible futures emerge.

The Forum
A highly versatile space on the Melbourne Connect Superfloor, The Forum will host 400 people in a lecture type set up, 200 in a dining set up or be split into three smaller rooms with 100 person capacity for events such as seminars, presentations and workshops.
The Studio
A high-traffic space with ground floor exposure at Melbourne Connect, The Studio will be a lively area hosting workshops and group activities, and a "war room" for project work. Visible to passers-by it will give a sneak peek into Melbourne Connect's energetic and dynamic community.
The Launch Pad
The Launch Pad showcases a central open plan area to facilitate ideation and knowledge sharing between precinct tenants, the University, guests and the business sector. A dynamic space used for creating, prototyping, pitching and testing, it will be the hotspot of the Superfloor with an ever-changing canvas of events and activations.
