*Melbourne Airport Station
Since it was built, there have been rumours that the original construction included an underground railway station.
It's a story that won't go away. Hundreds of credible reports from people who have seen it. On a recent 3AW program (Sunday 30/10/2022) two calls explained seeing the station, know where it is and how to access it.
What remains mystifying, is why the airport and Government continue to deny its existence. One explanation is work on on the long-awaited rail link* has a station 6 storeys high because the track is a sky rail. Athough discussions on the design of the Airport station continue: airport owners want it underground, so its anyones guess why they don't produce credible evidence of a completed underground station that would force the Governments hand.
*Maybe now the rail link has been shelved by the Labor Government (in favour of an underground railway in the Eastern suburbs that no-one wants or will use), that the existence of the Airport Station will finally be revealed.
