Known simply as Kooyong, Kooyong Stadium was the orignal venue for the Australian Open (tennis) along with hosting many other events, including some of the biggest names in rock music.
Celebrated as 'the Spiritual Home of Australian Tennis', the legendary Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club offers superb sporting and recreational facilities, exceptional social opportunities and exclusive Member privileges.
Today, Kooyong's reputation as Australia's premier tennis club is as sound as ever, following the completion of an extensive clubhouse redevelopment. Kooyong's 26 manicured grass courts, 22 all-weather en tout cas courts and 3 Plexicushion courts will satisfy tennis players of all skill levels.
Kooyong Stadium was built in 1927 and has a capacity of 8,500.
