St Kilda Town Hall

St Kilda Town Hall

St Kilda Town Hall stands proudly on the corner of Brighton Road and Carlisle Street in St Kilda.

St Kilda Town Hall is a magnificent heritage landmark that exudes timeless style, elegance and a powerful sense of old-time Melbourne.

First built in 1890, it was designed by local architect William Pitt with the classical portico added in 1925. The Town Hall is located in the heart of vibrant St Kilda and sits amid 19th century gardens, which form a scenic entrance to the grand staircase.

A devastating fire in 1991 seriously affected the art collection and burnt out the hall itself, and was followed by a prize winning refurbishment and further extension. The hall is popular for social events, meetings and performances.

St Kilda Town Hall has a auditorium ~ 800 theatre style, 500 banquet style (no dancefloor), 400 banquet style (with dance floor).

St Kilda Town Hall has 8 rooms available for hire to be used as a meeting rooms or in conjunction with the auditorium.
