Meeting in 1997 in the Colombian army, the two owners found themselves together once again in Melbourne in 2008. Finding there was no place that brought different cultures together through the celebration of art, music and dance, the concept of Miranda bar was conceived.
In January 2020, Miranda bar was opened. Miranda, a word derived by Shakespear to mean admirable and wonderful, is a place that hosts portraits of the greats including Salvador Dali, Mona Lisa and the Girl with the Pearl earring.
Come for contemporary art and stay for the vibrant atmosphere. Thursday's experience a relaxed lounge vibe, Friday's sees a corporate happy hour for the hard working business folk followed by an 'Unwind it Friday' party, and Saturday night hosts the iconic Mendozas Social Club, Melbourne's premier Latino night.
For a unique experience and to be truly admired, try the Espresso Martini (which is known to be the best in town), the Pisco Sour, Cerveza Aguila, or Aguardiente Antioqueno.

Tucked away in a hidden basement on Flinders Lane, Miranda Bar is the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail with old friends, meet new friends and party the night away.
Contemporary art adorns the walls of this intimate bar to create an atmosphere like no other. Comfortable lounges invite you to unwind and get lost in the beats with your drink of choice in hand. The drinks menu boasting everything from your favourite classic cocktails, to top shelf whiskeys and everything inbetween.
Get your night started on Fridays with a $12 Cocktail Happy Hour from 5pm - 7pm, then DJ's hit the decks to ramp it up with RnB, Old Skool & Top 40 Hits from 9pm.
Saturday night, put your dancing shoes on for the famous Mendoza's Social Club... the hottest Latin/Salsa/Reggaeton dance night in town. Whatever your style, Miranda will make your weekend one to remember!
