Monash United Handball Club

The Monash Handball Club is one of the oldest Handball Clubs in Victoria, one of the most successful and the largest Handball Club in Melbourne. Twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8-10 pm) we offer handball trainings to students and members of the public alike. Our mixed men's and women's trainings attract beginners as much as experienced players. Beginners are taught the elemtary steps of the game, the movements, rules and tactics. However, there is also always a fair share of play involved, so that the new skills can be put into practise right away. Experienced players can pit their tricks against other players from well all around the globe. While the composition of players changes, our club has always been a highly diverse group with players from Australia, Asia, South America, Africa and Europe. While trainings are meant to be fun for everyone, we also place emphasis on ensuring that our players increase their personal fitness. Of course, not everyone can run 100 metres in less than 11 seconds, but we try to help everyone to nudge one's own performance a little bit further. Aside from doing sports together, club members often meet for club functions or just for a drink after a game. Our men and women are always happy to welcome new players who wish to join the club for trainings or games and enjoy handball as much as we do.
