Morris Jones, located at the bohemian Windsor end of Chapel Street at number 163, is a gastro pub style restaurant and cocktail bar open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper 7 days a week.
This amazing 1887 landmark heritage warehouse building has been given a modern restoration by award winning architect/designers Russell & George, who have taken inspiration with the design from the 1960 classic French film 'À Bout de Souffle' and its legendary charismatic lead actor Jean-Paul Belmondo. Morris Jones is all about great food, great cocktails, a relaxed social atmosphere, our beautiful garden courtyard and the fantastic old heritage building that has so much rich history.
RESTAURANT...
Head Chef Tony Milton has designed the menu by way of a rustic Windsor bistro come gastro pub feel, with the menu being quintessentially European amid subtle French influences.
Our food philosophy is simple; to provide great quality, value for money food from the freshest and highest quality suppliers. All ingredients are house made; from hand cut freshly made pappardelle and gnocchi; beetroot cured salmon; to our house made ice cream. Our wood fired BBQ grill is central to the kitchen and our menu, which includes offerings of four cuts of premium steak, poultry and seafood options, all of which are char-grilled using local red gum and grey box, which produces delicious mouth-watering smokey wood flavours in all of our meats.
BAR
The Cocktail Bar serves cocktails with inspiration from France's hip bars from the 50's and 60's. The bar lounge area spills out on to a lush open garden courtyard, with a Patrick Blanc inspired vertical garden wall. House cocktails include the Amelia, Henry M Jones and our version of the popular Espresso Martini. The atmosphere and ambience of the bar is set with background tunes of chilled out house, funk, soul and jazz so conversation can be enjoyed long into the night, whilst sipping on a dry vodka martini or a Mata Hari.
