National Holden Motor Museum - CLOSED |
BUSINESS HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED AS OF 15TH APRIL 2024
As reported by ABC Shepparton / By Georgina Carroll
The owners of Echuca's National Holden Motor Museum have announced they will close its doors in April 2024.
The news was announced by owners and directors Tony and Mark Galea via social media, who said they were not able to find a buyer for the business and had no choice but to close.
Tony Galea said it was a difficult decision to make but it was time for himself and Mark to retire.
Mr Galea said the business was successful and profitable, but no one had put their hand up to buy the museum.
The museum is the original Holden museum and was started in 1984 in Bayswater.
It then moved around to various locations, including Bendigo and Wangaratta, before opening permanently in Echuca in July 1993.
The museum's last day of trade will be April 14, 2024 with the museum's contents being auctioned off on May 18, 2024.
