The North Fitzroy Community Gardens Group aims to enhance the sustainability of the North Fitzroy community by:
-:- respecting prior ownership of the land by Indigenous Australians;
-:- maintaining attractive urban space where people can grow plants predominantly for food and which is accessible to the local community to enjoy;
-:- promoting sustainable organic horticultural techniques and fostering the sharing and development of a diversity of gardening skills
-:- managing the garden by consensus in an open, participatory and non-discriminatory manner.
Our garden is a short walk north of Rushall station, in the Thomas Kidney Reserve, Rushall Crescent, North FItzroy. Walk or ride your bike to the gate, catch bus route 250 or 251 and alight at either the the Park Street, Rushall Crescent or Rushall Station stop, catch the Epping line train to Rushall Station, take tram route 86 and walk from stop 24 or 25 in Queens Parade or drive and park your car at Rushall Station.
