Olivia Newton-John is a singer, songwriter, and actress we proudly call a Melburnian.

She is a 4 time Grammy winner who has amassed five No. 1 and ten other Top Ten Billboard Hot 100 singles and two No. 1 Billboard 200 solo albums. Eleven of her singles (including two platinum) and 14 of her albums (including two platinum and four double platinum) have been certified gold by the RIAA.

She played Sandy Olsson with John Travolta in the musical Grease, which featured one of the most successful film soundtracks in Hollywood history.

Born on 26 September 1948 in Cambridge (UK), her family emigrated to Melbourne Australia in 1954 where she grew up. At fourteen she was a member of an all-girl group, Sol Four, with three classmates. She became a regular on radio and tv including HSV-7's The Happy Show, Go Show and Sing, Sing, Sing.
