I'm afraid many of the reviews we found were by grumpy reviewers expecting the next Apocalypse Now. We found the movie to be engaging and enjoyable.
If its fact-based story proves more fascinatingly outlandish than it's presented here, Operation Mincemeat remains an engaging and well-acted wartime drama.
I have a sweet tooth for this sort of historical re-enactment when it's done well... and "Operation Mincemeat" is well done without being overdone.
