Porcino Porcino

Porcino is a modern Italian restaurant located in Smith St, Collingwood.

The menu offers hearty dishes such as a pork cutlet with black cherry and chilli jam or lamb fillets on a Greek-style salad, including a highly-recommended gnocchi.

The choice of focaccia topped with melted provolone cheese accompanies a dozen or so pizzas with a thinnish crust that's too good to pass up.

Other options play on usual Italian combinations of flavours - prawns with tomato, parsley and garlic; salsicce with caramelised onion.

To drink there's a full bar and a short wine list with little over $35. For dessert there's imported Italian gelati including a wonderfully sharp lemon one, or an affogato that comes with a choice of eight liqueurs to splash over the ice-cream along with a shot of Del Zotti espresso.

The menu is extensive, and mirrors the array of flavours on offer.
