Red Barn Cellar Door | Box Stallion Winery |
Set amongst the rolling hills of Merricks North on the Mornington Peninsula overlooking the vines is Box Stallion Winery with its Red Barn Cellar Door, Restaurant & Art Gallery
The Red Barn Cellar Door Cafe has a unique ambience. For a peaceful lunch beneath the big timber trusses and shady trees or an afternoon of live music filling the barn with laughter, chat and the clinking of glasses, the friendly relaxed atmosphere, great service, fabulous food and excellent wines make a winning combination for those seeking a venue with a difference.
For these reasons and many more, we were awarded the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula Tourism award for 2004. For 2005 we were awarded finalist in the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula Tourism awards.
Our dishes utilize fresh, seasonal and local produce and we make a point of matching interesting flavours with our large range of estate grown varietal wines.
The Barn itself once housed thoroughbred stallions and is situated on a 100 acre Estate. Where horses once roamed, vines now grow and our handsome trees, green lawns and lake provide a lovely outlook for outside dining.
We are open every day from 11am ~ 5pm.
You can enjoy live music every Sunday and we are child friendly! Group bookings and functions are our specialty so call us to arrange a menu to suit your exact needs. All credit cards are welcome and Eftpos facilities are available.
Our cellar door and restaurant is housed in the former stables offering a unique ambience to experience our wines, enjoy local, seasonal produce from our menu or tap your feet to some excellent live music.
We recommend and appreciate bookings and are happy to host groups of all sizes for special occasions.
