The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), formed in 1927, is a non-profit organisation training surgeons and maintaining surgical standards in Australia and New Zealand.

The College's purpose is to be the unifying force for surgery in Australia and New Zealand, with FRACS standing for excellence in surgical care.

The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons provides training and education in the nine surgical specialties in which it admits surgeons to Fellowship. The Surgical Education and Training (SET) program is designed to improve the quality and efficiency of surgical education and training through early selection into speciality training and streamlining of the training experience.
