Science Gallery Melbourne will be the cultural anchor of Melbourne Connect. It will be a living lab for exhibitions and ideas, exploring the collision of art and science. It will play a vital role in shifting our understanding of science, art and innovation.
The University of Melbourne has secured the rights to the Australian node of the acclaimed Global Science Gallery Network. One of only eight nodes worldwide, Science Gallery Melbourne will involve, inspire and transform curious minds, aged 15-25 through science and art.
Part experiment, part exhibition, the Gallery's programs will connect, engage and showcase the work of artists, scientists, researchers, industry and a global network of collaborators.
Science Gallery Melbourne is part of an international network of galleries with a common mission: to ignite creativity and discovery in young adults, where science and art collide. We aim to inspire young adults to pursue a career in the arts and sciences whilst connecting artists with a collaborative global network.
Science Gallery Melbourne is part of Melbourne Connect, a new innovation precinct developed by The University of Melbourne.
