Sherbrooke Art Gallery |
The Gallery, which is considered a key 'art and culture' destination for visitors to the Dandenong Ranges, provides members and visiting artists with a light and spacious exhibition space set at the edge of the breathtaking Sherbrooke Forest.
Sherbrooke Art Society was established in November 1966 by well-known local artist Jack Montgomery who had a vision of an Art Society located within the "Hills".
The Gallery has a constant changing display of over 300 works of art for sale.
The Gallery also houses a series of art classes with tutors teaching in a range of mediums which are open to beginners through to professional fine artists.
Sherbrooke Art Society is a vibrant community of artists with a growing membership each year.
Currently in its 55th year, The Society, and its associated Gallery, are both well-established and highly-regarded within the local and wider community.
The Society hosts numerous exhibitions including the renowned Streeton Roberts McCubbin Exhibition, Spring Exhibition, Small Packages Exhibition and Artist of the Year Exhibition. The Society members enjoy a range of activities which include workshops, life drawing groups, demonstrations, field days for outdoor painting, and a library.
