St Columba Gallery @ St Nicholas
At the end of 2011, we completed the renovation and extension of St Nicholas' facilities which successfully combined the old with the new creating a beautiful reordered worship space that faces east through the opened up arches.
We now have a dedicated Gallery space in what was the old sanctuary, a beautiful area of red brick and stained glass interspersed with white walls. Track lighting has been installed to highlight exhibits and displays, and many find the space both reflective and inspiring.
Our gallery is now three years old! We have named this space St Columba Gallery in honour of St Nicholas's sister Church, St Columba, in nearby Edithvale, which was deconsecrated and sold in 2007, paving the way for the combined parish to redevelop St Nicholas in Mordialloc. St Columba Church will always remain an integral part of our history and we wish to preserve the memory, the heritage and the people who came together with St Nicholas Mordialloc to serve their community, faith and Church.
Gallery and Church open Monday-Thursday 12-3pm, Saturday 10am-1pm. Closed Friday and Public Holidays
