The State Coal Mine is located at 19 - 37 Garden Street, Wonthaggi, about two hours from Melbourne and 25 minutes from Phillip Island.
As you travel into Wonthaggi from Melbourne, continue along Bass Highway until you reach the first roundabout at Graham Street and turn right. When you reach the roundabout at McDonald's, turn left and continue along Bilson Street. You will see the State Coal Mine sign when you near Garden Street. Turn right and follow to the State Coal Mine.
