The Bao Project |
Straight And Narrow Courtyard
Baos | Beats | Beers - Chelsea
The Bao Project started as an UberEats ghost kitchen running out of Straight And Narrow Caf© in Chelsea.
It was started in response to an explosive demand during the Covid19 lockdown for takeaway food that was different than the usual suspects.
Cafe owner Cam Williams and Chef Skott Burns collaborated to bring the norm-smashing concept to the Chelsea community. The mission was to combine the traditional Chinese bao bun with anything but traditional fillings.
The response from day one was massive, and the team were fighting tooth and nail just to keep up with demand. For the first few nights the kitchen had to close much earlier than planned because everything was sold out. This initial popularity in the first two weeks earned them a spot on Urban List's top 10 best ghost kitchens and pop-ups.
Fast forward to today with covid restrictions eased, the team has now opened a fully stocked bar in the Straight And Narrow courtyard, serving the same delicious Asian fusion food, paired with a carefully selected range of wines and craft beers to perfectly compliment the baos.
With many events planned over the summer such as exciting live music acts, it is best to keep an eye out on The Bao Project social media pages to keep up to date with what's going on!
