After many years of dreaming, we are finally doing it!

We are opening our own brew pub in the western suburbs with a decent beer garden! Yes you heard correctly a actual proper beer garden - so get ready for summer folks as this will be the place you want to be at.

And for those with young families, no we have not forgotten about you - in-fact we have put some serious thought in what makes you happy and what keeps the kids occupied.

And NO its not an IPAD. A kids playground is in order to spark that imagination and to eventually ware them out.

Beer enthusiasts do not be concerned every drop is made on site and we aim to please and develop what you want to drink.

So pop by and come say hello - were're always keen for chat.

Beer is back at the Barkly Hotel

We are a family owned business which brews its own beer. Aiming to raise the standard of beer and food pairing in every day dinning.

We have a core range of 5 varieties in the form of a Lager, Pale Ale, IPA, Stout and Cider all poured from our copper serving tanks.

Supporting other independent craft beer, we have a further 5 taps to showcase the some of the best beer from various other local and international breweries. With a combined focus on classic and new age styles, along with some great options that also aren't all beery, we hope we can provide something for everyone.
We can also happily announce that we are the only venue in Melbourne who has 3 traditional hand pumps. Made to order by Angram in Thirsk, Yorkshire. Luckily, the cellar of the old pub allows us to serve these beers at cellar temperature, as they were intended.

Food is not forgotten here either. Our Head Chef Massimo is not only a talented chef, with wide level of experience drawn from restaurants in Italy and around Australia. From culinary experience to hop picking seasons in the Victorian high country, he also brings a unique perspective to the relationship beers can have with food.
Items on our menu may feature our beer as a noticeable ingredient, or are included to pair beautifully with a particular brew.

The Cheeky Pint also a growler friendly venue, so if you love our beer, you are most welcome to take it home to enjoy.
