Located in a former printery of the same name built in 1891 in historic Beechworth, The Green Shed Bistro blends the rustic charm of open fireplaces and original ink stained walls with the fresh vibrancy of locally sourced produce and fresh Asian fusion cooking.
Owned and run by executive chefs Nathan Ackland and Megan Chalmers, who have over 20 years experience between them. The menu reflects the freshness of the produce Nathan and Megan source from local and surrounding valleys.
The food is quite simple - it's not the most technical food out there. It's about the produce on the plate and getting the most flavour out of it. It's important that you cook things that you enjoy in the way they're supposed to be cooked.- Nathan Ackland, executive chef.
