Victorian Curling Association |
The sport of curling is played each Tuesday evening over winter at the Bendigo Ice Rink, the only place in Victoria where you can play.
Likened to bowls on ice, as a non-contact sport, curling is accessible to a wide range of players who can enjoy the game for its sense of competition and fair play.
How do you play curling?
Curling is played on an ice rink. The idea of the game is very simple, each player in the team of four slides a granite stone down a sheet of ice and have it stop nearer the centre of a target (the "House") than your opponent.
It's a little like bowling on ice but with a stone that has a handle.
Founded in 1984, the Victorian Curling Association is Australia's largest active curling club.
