The Wattle Park Chalet is one of Melbourne's exceptional historic function venues, available exclusively for any occasion.
The Chalet offers the ambience and exclusivity of it's magnificent park setting, yet only 10kms from Melbourne's CBD.
Built in 1928 by master craftsmen using materials salvaged from historic public buildings, the Chalet is listed on both the Heritage Victoria and National Trust Registers. The Chalet has operated continuously since it opened and is thought to be the only cafe, dance hall, reception venue and conference venue dating from the 1920s that remains operational in its original form.
The surrounding parklands also have historical significance, including the Lone Pine tree near the Chalet which is included on the National Trust Significant Tree Register. Consequently, the Chalet and surrounding Wattle Park are important community assets and attract 500,000 visitors annually.
