The Melbourne Guitar Makers Festival returns with a weekend of events that are perfect for both those wanting to lend an ear and others who prefer a hands-on approach.
Carlton Italian Festa brings a day of free celebrations to Lygon Street with music, food, fun and more for the family, while further afield for foodies there's the Maryville Australian Sparkling Wine Festival along with the Sunbury Region Wine & Food Festival.

Diwali Indian Festival of Light, taking place at Federation Square, celebrates the Hindu religious festival with stalls showcasing Indian cuisine, Indian jewellery and fashion. Diwali Fair, the Aii Indian Festival taking place at Sandown Racecourse in Springvale, features a wide range of Indian cuisine, dancing performances and entertainment for children. Melbourne Guitar Makers Festival, taking place at Abbottsford Convent, celebrates handcrafted guitars from some of the best independent luthiers.
