This week, along with the ongoing Melbourne Cabaret Festival, for those after something a little less racy there's the Newport Folk Festival offering a weekend of performances and workshops for people of all ages.
At Fitzroy Town Hall there's the Festival of Tibet celebrating art, music food and much more, while culture of the Pop variety gets a grand nod with Oz Comic-Con featuring special guest, the one and only William Shatner.
And for film-buffs who like it local and proud, there's the premiere of the Melbourne-made film, Crawlspace, screening for one night only.

CRAWLSPACE, a Melbourne made high-octane action thriller and winner of two awards at Screamfest, the largest and longest running horror film festival in the US, will premier for one night only at the Astor Cinema in St Kilda. Don Giovanni, performed by Opera Australia's Oz Opera at the Karralyka Centre in Ringwood East, brings to life the classic opera by Mozart and Da Ponte. Sung in English and performed with Oz Opera's Chamber Orchestra, the stylish production tells how a womaniser's unrelenting ways catch up with him from beyond the grave. When:Saturday July 6 - 8pm
Singing in the Rain, presented by ARC Theatre, one of Melbourne's finest youth theatre companies, brings to life the smash hit 1952 film classic, hailed as the greatest musical in American cinema.
