Formed in Melbourne in 1975, Air Supply are duo Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock.
Air Supply with Russell and Graham plus other members over 50 years created sweet ballads and became a staple of early-'80s radio, scoring a string of seven straight Top Five singles.
Awards: 1980 Billboard Top Adult Contemporary Single of the Year for "Here I Am"; American Music Awards Favorite Band, Duo or Group Pop/Rock, 1982; platinum certification for Lost in Love, The One That You Love, and Now and Forever.
Air Supply were inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2013.
Named because both Graham and Russell have air zodiac signs, they met in May 1975 while rehearsing for the musical Jesus Christ Superstar.
