Avalon Airport, domestic and international passenger terminal is ideally located between Victoria's two biggest cities, Melbourne and Geelong.
Avalon Airport is Melbourne's second international airport connecting Melbourne, Geelong, the Bellarine and Great Ocean Road.

Jetstar has regular flights to Sydney, Adelaide and the Gold Coast.
AirAsia
AirAsia flies between Avalon Airport and Kuala Lumpur. From Kuala Lumpur passengers can connect to 130 wonderful destinations across Asia, the US and the Middle East.
Vietjet
Passengers could soon be flying direct to Vietnam with Vietjet poised to touch down at Avalon Airport with airport owners Linfox sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Sovico Group, owners of airline Vietjet. The agreement sets out where the airport and Sovico can work together, including on freight, investment and future passenger flights.

International
When to arrive: Check in opens three hours before the scheduled flight time. We recommend passengers arrive at least two hours prior to departure for international flights. Check in closes one hour before scheduled flight time. Please note that latecomers will not be able to board after this time.

Getting Here
To Melbourne by ROAD
Avalon Airport is located just 55 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD and is an easy, 45-minute, toll free drive from the CBD.
From Melbourne's CBD, cross over the Westgate Bridge and travel along the Princes Freeway towards Geelong. Take the Avalon turn-off (Beach Road).
Avalon is only 20 kilometres from Geelong's CBD. It's just a 25 minute journey when you travel along the Princes Freeway towards Melbourne for approximately 15 minutes and take the Avalon turn-off (Beach Road).
To Geelong by ROAD
Avalon Airport is 20 kilometres from Geelong's CBD. Travel along the Princes Freeway towards Melbourne for approximately 15 minutes and take the Avalon turn-off (Beach Road).
Drive on Left Side of Road

Airport Parking
There is plenty of parking in a secure short term and long term car park right in front of the terminal (booking not required) | More... The airport car park is secured from midnight to 4am each day, but access is available by calling security on (03) 5227 9150.

Approximate taxi fare to Melbourne CBD is $125+ excluding phone booking fee or card service fees.
Bus Transfers
Avalon Airport is serviced by two operators to and from Melbourne and Geelong.
Rail
Lara Train Station is 7 kilometres from Avalon Airport but there are no connecting bus services. Hail a taxi at the airport to travel to Lara Station | Timetables
