Bordello Theatre
Performance & Event Venue
Melbourne's longest serving brothel has just formed a partnership that will transform its disused attic into the city's newest and edgiest theatre!
This summer witness a theatre experience like none other in the newly converted attic space of Melbourne's oldest brothel; The Top of the Town. The newly renovated Bordello Theatre presents its first ever show with 'Lush Life' by the exquisite jazz cabaret sensation, James Halloran.
THE BORDELLO THEATRE
ARRIVAL: when arriving at The Bordello Theatre please wait on the pavement out the front of The Top of the Town brothel at 518 Flinders St, Melbourne. There will be signage to indicate where to wait for your experience to begin. A Bordello Theatre usher will show all audience members into the theatre ten minutes prior to show time. Your usher will escort you up to the third floor attic of the brothel, to The Bordello Theatre where you will be shown to your seat.
NOTE: The Bordello Theatre is NOT LICENSED owing to the fact that it is in fact situated in the attic of an actual, and operational, functioning brothel. This is an unavoidable aspect of presenting live performances at the only theatre space in a working brothel in Australia today.
FREE STUFF: To combat this, Knuckles ant the Gang at Speakeasy HQ (literally next door) welcome you at the Speakeasy HQ Vaudeville Theatre bar where they will offer you $1 off any drink of your choosing on the same day of your session time. One use per person per day. Limited to the date of session nominated on your ticket.
