Boe Sapun
Boe Sapun is an abstract artist with an art background in visual merchandising, within the past year has focused and delved into the art scene with her first successful art exhibition Hydromancy in 2014. She creates tranquil paintings that evoke a feeling of floating and drifting into the realms of deep inner peace with an element of escapism.
She draws her inspiration from the ever changing seasons of the sea. Her inky colours of sapphire, turquoise and emerald are prominent along with iridescent hues of white sea foam that lace the surface of her paintings.
Her works have an Rorschach (psychological inkblots) feel with one often interpreting and analysing the paintings within their own visual perceptions.
Mark Getty
Scottish born, choosing a traditional training in illustration, reasoning that a firm understanding of technical skills such as perspective theory and light interaction would form the basis for future artistic projects, grounded in reality.
"I then successfully worked in both the graphic design and architectural visualisation industries for many years, before deciding to produce art full time in both contemporary realistic and abstract painting styles. I also work from and produce my own fine art photographic studies.
My style of painting ranges from the realistic, evoking strong colour and mood through to realistic portrait studies, places and objects experienced on my travels. I strive to produce art that conveys a story or inspires emotive thought, both via paint and colour or suggestion ".
Currently relocated to Melbourne, where I'm looking into future projects which may incorporate hyperrealism with design and street art influences.
I still accept the challenge of commission work, typically in the form of highly detailed portrait artworks. This follows on from a series of successful private art commissions, including high profile overseas customers such as singers Anthony Kiedis, Sandi Thom in addition to private collectors in the US/Canada and Europe.
Damien Pasquale
Brisbane based Artist Damien Pasquale graduated from Griffith University (Queensland College of Art) with the Trevor Lyons Award in 2003.
Much of Damien's career has developed through commercial screen printing and graphic design, interspersed with a foray into the music industry in Melbourne. During this time he was pleased to incorporate his works into group exhibitions in the emergent Geelong Art community.
As an Abstract artist, Damien creates raw paintings with bold monochromatic and layered compositions formed from a semi objective process, resulting in dynamic and naturally formed personal monoliths. Inspiration for his work is drawn from everyday objects and architecture.
Often heavy use of black contrasted with whites, combined and blended with vivid pallets gives rise to robust and captivating individual pieces and collections.
